The birthday dinner was a success. My husband said that everything turned out well. The kids love duck (I pass on the duck, I am not a meat, poultry or fish lover, I could easily give them up) and are always happy when we make it, once a year.
The pie was just a mild success. It is not a make again as is. I think if i tried it again I would use pecans instead, but I am not sure I would even try it. Can't win them all.
