one year

It has been one year since I first started selling on etsy. In that year I sold one hundred items through etsy, I guess that is decent. Maybe I should make a goal for the next year, two hundred sales.

etsy

After the rush of last minute card orders during the holiday I took a break from card making. I now need to get back to work. Next week I plan to clean up my etsy shop and try and get things moving again and start making cards again.

Lots of new stuff to add to my etsy shop.

house party

I just got back from the house party my friend hosted. Not many people came, but those who did bought a ton. I also got two christmas card orders. The next house party is tomorrow and then I have a bit of a break before my next event, but need to get a ton of stuff made for the next few events.

inventory

I am going to have a bunch of card events in a row. I am a little nervous about how much I will need. Like the last craft show I am torn between needing a lot and not needing much at all. Until I figure it all out (which I am sure will never happen) I will just make cards until I fall over and hope that it is enough!

scrap packs

It was a busy soccer weekend. We spent a lot of it at the soccer field. As a result, I did not get as much listed on etsy as I had hoped to. However, I did get a few scap packs done and listed. Take a look in the shop.

Still updating my etsy shop like crazy.

I have finally gotten back to listing on etsyand I have added a bunch of new items. Take a look at my shop when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

fall

I have gotten tons of paper for fall and holiday note cards. The last few nights I have been up late (the only time I seem to get any work done) getting new sets made.

Somehow the fall filled up for me business wise. I now have two craft shows, the trove barn sale and three house parties to do. I will also have two or three custom christmas card orders that I know of along with ours.

Perhaps this business might work out...

dots

I have a thing for dots and I am not sure why. I added some new sets to my etsy shop and the last two have been dots.

More dots to come...

about time

After a very long break, I added a new set of cards to my etsy shop. I am planning to add some more new packs over the next few days.

wholesale

I had my first wholesale order (sorta). I received a message that the girls at trove decided to just buy all of the packs that I dropped off. At least now I do not need to worry what sells at the off site sale they are doing this weekend.

Very exciting.

I have been getting a ton of work done inbetween the rest of life. The box for trove is ready and I am dropping it off today. I also have a lot of new packs ready for etsy. I am planning to get back to updating my etsy shop on a regular basis. Check the shop often!

trove

The ladies at trove decor are doing an off-site sale this weekend and they asked me for some packs of cards. I have spent the last few nights trying to get some new sets together. I have a ton of new fall papers that I hope will sell well.

house party

I have been busy trying to plan what business stuff to do this fall. I am planning on doing two craft shows, the trove barn sale and right now I have one person in north jersey that is going to host a house party for me. I am not a great sales person, I am very low pressure, so I am having a hard time trying to decide if I should have a house party. What do you think?

I did find these really cute little houses by the little red door that I thought would be fun to give as thank you gifts for hosting clear pink house parties.

business

I have been feeling rather discouraged about Clear Pink the past few weeks. Sales on etsy stopped and it is no secret that I have had zero motivation to work the past two months. I have spent the past few weeks wondering if doing this card thing was a dumb idea, maybe nobody really likes them.

Yesterday I got two checks ($140) in the mail from my sister-in-law in Pittsburgh (I had brought a box of sets to the beach for her). I called to thank her and she told me that she had only sold all those cards to just two people and has a bunch more people to show them to, how exciting. Then, later in the afternoon I finally had a sale on etsy.

I think this is just what I needed to feel good about all of this again. Business is an awful roller coaster ride.

back to work

Alright, I need to get back to work making some cards. I am still having trouble getting motivated, so perhaps a contest will help. pittsburgh

I have been busy the past few days getting as many note cards sets together that I can. One of my sisters-in-law offered to have a house party. She lives in Pittsbugh, so it will be good to get the cards to another area. I found when doing shows or house parties, the more you have the better, so I figure that I should give her at least 75 different packs (i think I better go and count what have).

I have until Thursday to get it all done, I will be seeing her this weekend at the beach.

I found another spot to sell my cards online, trendy shoppes. They have done a soft launch and will oficially launch at the end of the month. Take a look when you get a second.
