I have done a few custom orders the last few weeks. I have not made any note cards, but need to start again. I hve some new ideas for cards and I hope to get them done and listed on etsy soon.

house parties

Here is a tip, never do two house parties in one week.

I am going crazy trying to get ready for the second house party of the week. The first one, hosted by a friend on Wednesday night, was decent. It is odd how these things work. I sold a lot less at this one than at the one another friend hosted a few weeks ago that had two-thirds less people. You never know.

The next house party is at my house this Sunday. I am doing it with a friend who will be selling her book. On Monday I need to box of a bunch of sets and send them off to one of my sister-in-laws who said that she would put them in the teacher's room where she works. She seems to think theat they will sell well.

holiday

I have my first holiday open house this Sunday followed by the second on Monday evening. I picked up more holiday paper, I was afraid that I did not have enough holiday cards. I am going to try and get lots more packs made by Sunday.

still working

The past few weeks have been crazy. The kids schedules are crazy. I am crazy getting stuff done for them. Everyday is jammed packed with stuff for them. I have been trying to get cards done whenever I can. I do not think that it will slow down until the new year.

The trove barn sale is this friday and saturday. I will have cards there, so if you are in the area, stop by.

inventory

I am going to have a bunch of card events in a row. I am a little nervous about how much I will need. Like the last craft show I am torn between needing a lot and not needing much at all. Until I figure it all out (which I am sure will never happen) I will just make cards until I fall over and hope that it is enough!

listing

I have finally gotten back to listing on etsyand I have added a bunch of new items. Take a look at my shop when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

craft fair

I have my first craft fair this weekend. I have been working like crazy to get stuff done. In my mind I go between, I do not have enough to sell to what difference does it make how much I have, I probably will not sell anything.

about time

After a very long break, I added a new set of cards to my etsy shop. I am planning to add some more new packs over the next few days.

wholesale

I had my first wholesale order (sorta). I received a message that the girls at trove decided to just buy all of the packs that I dropped off. At least now I do not need to worry what sells at the off site sale they are doing this weekend.

Very exciting.

business

I have been feeling rather discouraged about Clear Pink the past few weeks. Sales on etsy stopped and it is no secret that I have had zero motivation to work the past two months. I have spent the past few weeks wondering if doing this card thing was a dumb idea, maybe nobody really likes them.

Yesterday I got two checks ($140) in the mail from my sister-in-law in Pittsburgh (I had brought a box of sets to the beach for her). I called to thank her and she told me that she had only sold all those cards to just two people and has a bunch more people to show them to, how exciting. Then, later in the afternoon I finally had a sale on etsy.

I think this is just what I needed to feel good about all of this again. Business is an awful roller coaster ride.

back to work

Alright, I need to get back to work making some cards. I am still having trouble getting motivated, so perhaps a contest will help. movitated

I finally got myself movitated yesterday to print and list a new card.

When things are slow I find it hard to find inspiration.

trendy shoppes

I found another spot to sell my cards online, trendy shoppes. They have done a soft launch and will oficially launch at the end of the month. Take a look when you get a second.

paper

I have spent the past few days cutting and cutting all of my new paper (I got my first really bad paper related injury in years). I can not wait to start putting the cards together. I am going to need a ton of cards for a bunch of stuff that I will be doing in the fall. I have three house parties (so far), two craft fairs (so far), trove barn sale and whatever I put up on etsy, dawanda and a new site that I will be selling on.

ten

Things have started to pick up a bit for me on etsy. I have been busy working on new packs using all of the paper I recently bought. I am planning on adding a bunch of new packs over the next few days. Keep checking back.

soccer

I spend about 5 hours at week at the soccer field (then there are the lacrosse fields, tennis courts, ballet and brownies, but that is another post). Yesterday my friend, she is my biggest business cheerleader, needed some cards to give as teacher gifts and for herself. I had just picked everything up from the trove sale so I had it all in the car and brought it to practice. While there she looked went through everything and picked up ten sets of note cards. Since it was out, another soccer mom looked and bought two sets. Soccer has finally paid off.

I just picked up my stuff from the trove barn sale. Overall I think it went well for me. I sold 44 packs of note cards. I hope that they will take some stuff for the fall sale!

poppy two

I did a reprint of my first poppy print today. I made 4 sets of note cards. I am planning to add a set to my etsy shop tonight. I am saving the rest for the clear pink house party.
